Sedona & Jerome

We based ourselves at Distant Drums RV Park in Camp Verde for 3 nights, which turned out to be a bit of a boo boo as although the camp appears nice, the people running it made it very unpleasant to be there.

In any case, we were doing day trips around the area, so were only there at nights.  The next day we headed off to Sedona via Oak Creek, past Bell Rock, Castle Rock and into the Talquepaque Arts & Craft Village which was a great place to spend the morning.  We loved Sedona with it's red rock and Spanish style buildings.  The day was overcast and not too many people were about.  They had some beautiful art work there of all different kinds and the atmosphere was great.

Sedona just blends in with the surrounding land we really enjoyed it there.  Everyone is gearing up for Christmas here with light shows and sale everywhere.

Next we headed over to Jerome via Cottonwood old town where we had pizza & wine for lunch - very nice.

Stopped at Tuzigoot National Monument, and then up to Jerome high in the hills where we spent some time looking around shops, found a really neat Christmas shop called 'Mooey Christmas & Udder things'  Cute.
