We stay at Hart Ranch, Rapid City for 3 nights for a break from the travelling.
An alley in Rapid City - the only one of its kind & the town was quite nice - we spent a morning down there poking around shops. They must allow this alley for graffiti...
Then head north to Sturgis, where the motorcyclist's all converge in August each year...... The weather was not in our favour as it dropped below and in Sturgis the snow started again. After a visit to the museum, we came out the freezing snow and decided to back track and head for Hot Springs in the hope it was actually hot!
At Hot Springs we found the The Mammoth Site and took a tour around the dig site. In the shop, Daryl found Elly, the Mammoth who joined Moosey & Gris on our trip. (Of course, Daryl made me purchase her)......
