Driving along we spot our first Moose, slam on the breaks and pull into the next drive to go back for a look......preety cool.
We head off about 10.30am and stop in the next town about 52 miles north called Livingston to see the Train Museum but this is closed for the season. We go for a walk and find this is a good old American town - old style....
We head off again and soon see the sign for the Madison Buffalo Jump where the buffalo run over a cliff edge.......this is how the indians used to hunt them - they drove them over the cliff to kill them.
We go to check this out as Daryl had heard about it....a bit of a rough road and after a bone shaking trip we make it. Not much to see but the cliff and a dead snake skin.
We keep going and pass through the begining of the Rockies - easy to see how they were named. We hit smoke for about 60 miles - there must be a huge wildfire over the hills, eventually we drive through it and get to Missoula where we stay at Yogi's Bear's Jellystone Park - finally we met Yogi!
Nice night and temputure is a lot warmer - pork steaks for dinner, yum.
