Tioga Pass

We left Sequoia Wednesday morning to head North, not sure where we were headed, but had a rough idea to head towards the High Sierra, which meant a bit of back tracking thru Yosemite natonal park and head over Tioga Pass onto the 395. We stopped at a smalltown called Oakhurst South of Yosemite for a bit of grocery shopping, a real outdoors fishing town.

We carried onto Yosemite, a different direction than we did the first time, but still had to g thru the park before we called head over the Tioga Pass, which climbed to a massive 9945 ft.so as you can imagine some impressive veiws.

We headed for Mono Lake on the 395, a full days driving, which was bit much, we left Sequoia around 9.am, by the time we hit Mono Lake it was around 5.30pm, so we travelled a fair distance, we checked out accomadation at Lee Vinning, but the RV Park was booked out, but the RV park rung thru to a place called Willow Springs which was another 20 miles up the road, a small but very nice RV park...also with a warning about bears.......but still we saw no bears!!!!!!
