A relaxing evening with a couple of drinks and BBQ, then we watched the Disney fireworks display, which we had a great view of from the RV park.
The first day was the Labour weekend Monday, we knew Disneyland would be hectic so decided to see some of the sights. First port of call was Petersen's Museum in Hollywood, an Automotive museum with a great variety. Next stop was a bit of shopping at Lowes...a mans shop, sort of like our Bunnings. Next stop at a Walmart where Val got in a bit of shopping and then on to Downtown Disney for dinner and more shopping....
Tuesday we all went to Disneyland and then Errol & Val also went to California World to see the Cars World. It was a scorcher day and our last ride was on Splash Mountain, which cooled us down.
Next day we headed out to So-Cal where we were given a personal tour around by Pete Chapouris, who showed us the latest projects & their stock. Silky's car is still up on the rack.....
Then on to the NHRA Museum, (Wally Park's museum) and on to Ontario Mills for the some shopping. Last stop in Orange County at CW Moss & Reids Hot Rods. Another BBQ for dinner saw
the evening in.
Thursday we visited a few shops, for you got it, more shopping. Val wanted to visit Michael's which is a huge craft shop and spent an hour or two there. On to another hobby shop where Daryl brought a new model and then home to organise bags etc and have a lazy afternoon.
Friday we went out to Moon in the morning and after packing Errol & Vals bags, we loaded up the car and headed over to Santa Monica Pier where we had an ice cream and walked on the beach.
Val brought a finger painting of the pier much like the one we brought in 2009. Then off to LAX to drop off Errol & Val at the airport where we said our goodbyes and headed out to Redondo Beach to catch the hot rod show outside Ruby's Diner. Another great show and the sliders from Ruby's were pretty good too. Then a long ride back to the RV park before hitting the sack.
